A currently printed label is applicated to trays or crates in continuous operation. The cornerwise labelling is optional. This ensures the identification of the tray on the pallet on two sides. Due to the 64-bit high-performance printer with self-cleaning thermal transfer print head and automatic print dot control a costly vacuum application is not necessary. RFID technique can also be applied. The economical use of the ink ribbon is a standard of these systems.
